The sheens are flat- makes a dull finish, Semi-Gloss- Gives it a shine and Egg Shell which has more luster than a flat finish but you won't be left with shiny walls and matte which has a little shine.
Flat and lower sheens you can touch up and is usually cheaper than flat. Disadvantages you can't wipe scuff marks off or wipe down easily.
The advantages of higher sheens are easy to keep clean, easier to get scuff marks off of. Disadvantages are not as easy to touch up and usually cost more.
